Kai Moreau
Head coach · Founder
3rd degree black belt
Founded Kuzushi in 2014 after a decade competing across Europe and Brazil. Teaches the advanced Gi curriculum and runs every promotion.
Sara Lindqvist
Gi & women's program
1st degree black belt
Two-time national champion. Built the women's program from four members to sixty, and leads our Saturday Gi open mat.
Marcus Hale
No-Gi & competition
Brown belt
Coaches the competition team and every No-Gi class. Known for leg-lock systems and very detailed game plans.
Yuki Tanaka
Kids & teens
1st degree black belt
Former judoka who now leads the kids program. Turns technique into games, and confidence into habit.
Rafael Costa
Fundamentals lead
2nd degree black belt
Designed our 12-week Fundamentals cycle. Most of our blue belts took their first class with Rafael.
Noor Haddad
Assistant coach
Purple belt
Started as a white belt here in 2017. Assists in Fundamentals and the teens program and runs warm-ups.

Master Paulo Reis
Red-and-black belt and teacher to our head coach.

Kai Moreau
Receives a black belt after twelve years of training.

Kuzushi opens
Twelve mats, one coach, nine founding members.
